Hi, this is Dan,
I was formerly in the garment manufacturing business with about 75 employees. Circumstances changed and I had to learn a new trade. Several friends were rebuilding and refinishing pianos, so they helped me out of a bad time, and I learned how to refinish very expensive pianos. I applied those skills to refinishing kitchen cabinets which are much easier to handle. We use water-borne finishes that are environmentally responsible and, of course, better for spraying in a house environment. Victor and I pride ourselves with being respectful of customers homes and take every precaution to protect appliances and whatever may need care. Custom Cabinet Refinishing was established in 2001 and has been growing every year. To date, we have not had a call back as the product we are using works well in a kitchen environment. Our customers are pleasantly surprised that we leave a kitchen looking clean and actually better than new. Today's kitchen manufacturers have very modern spray booths and can get a great-looking result with one coat of sealer and one top coat of finish. We have to work a little harder dealing with old cabinets and have to strip and sand them clean to prep properly. After prepping, depending on whether we are staining or painting, we spray three coats of sealer and four topcoats. Durability exceeds industry standards, and we are not done with a project until our customers are completely satisfied. Custom Cabinet Refinishing has been in business since 2002. For several years prior to that, we refinished pianos, antiques, and all sorts of furniture and cabinets. Since 2002, we have focused our attention on kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities, as the name indicates.
Custom Cabinet Refinishing is just as the name indicates. We refinish kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities are primarily our main focus. Kitchen cabinets are often structurally sound but require a facelift after years of use. The kitchen is where the most activity takes place in a home, and of course it's where the most wear and tear occurs of its surfaces.
Replacing or refacing your kitchen cabinets can be quite an expensive project. Refinishing, by comparison, is much more economical, and the return on the investment is quite satisfying. Custom Cabinet Refinishing uses environmentally friendly water-borne finishes which are resistant to water, chemical and common kitchen spills, as well as very flexible and will not crack, chip or peel.
The finish is applied by using a high-volume, low-pressure spray system that allows for more material to adhere to the cabinets and less over-spray. Using such products avoids exposure to toxic solvent particles in the air, which is certainly better for us, our children and our pets.
We have been refinishing cabinets for about 15 years without a recall and without a dissatisfied customer.
Along with wood tone stain and refinishing we also paint, glaze and make minor alterations if necessary.

- It was difficult to locate a quality company who would refinish my solid oak cabinets. My kitchen is unique because not only did I want my cabinets to be re-stained and not just painted white but all the woodwork, doors and molding also had to be redone since they all matched the original finish of the cabinets. Victor was extremely professional, detail oriented and took great pride in his artisanry. The color of the stain was exactly what I was looking for and it matched the woodwork despite it being completed by a different process. Even my husband who was not originally sold on the project is thrilled with the way that it turned out.
